The Asymmetric Explosion of Type Ia Supernovae as Seen from Near-Infrared Observations We present near-infrared spectra of late-phase (>200 days) Type Iasupernovae (SNe Ia) taken at the Subaru Telescope. The [Fe II] line ofSN 2003hv shows a clear flat-topped feature, while that of SN 2005Wshows a less prominent flatness. In addition, a large shift in theirline center, varying from -3000 to 1000 km s-1 with respectto the host galaxies, is seen. Such a shift suggests the occurrence ofan off-center, nonspherical explosion in the central region and providesimportant, new constraints on the explosion models of SNe Ia.Based on data collected at Subaru Telescope, which is operated by theNational Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
| SANTIAGO 91, a right ascension catalogue of 3387 stars (equinox J2000). The positions in right ascension of 3387 stars belonging to the Santiago67 Catalogue, observed with the Repsold Meridian Circle at Cerro Calan,National Astronomical Observatory, during the period 1989 to 1994, aregiven. The average mean square error of a position, for the wholeCatalogue, is +/-0.009 s. The mean epoch of the catalogue is 1991.84.
